Carpathian forest Nattefrost ve Nordavind tarafından 1990 da kuruldu.Bloodlust & Perversion demo(1992) ve the Journey through the Cold Moors of Svarttjern promo(1993) ‘yla adını duyurdu.
Carpathian forest’ın lirikleri genellikle… satanizm , şeytan ve hristiyanlığa karşı ayrıca sadistlik cinsellik ve intihar olmuştur.
